Agricultural PTO Drive Shaft

The agricultural PTO drive shaft can connect the tractor engine to various agricultural implements.  The tractor is connected to a rotary tiller, the agricultural PTO transfers the engine's power to the rotary tiller's rotating blades, which enables tilling. Other agricultural implements such as mowers, balers, and seed drills can also be connected to the tractor using the PTO drive shaft.

Common faults

Common faults of agricultural PTO agricultural drive shafts include wear of universal joints, which are caused by long-term torque and frequent angle changes, lack of lubrication and harsh working environment, and are manifested as inflexible rotation, jamming and abnormal noise;

Wear of splines, which are caused by improper matching clearance, excessive load and frequent start-stop, and are characterized by loose connection, shaking and vibration noise;

Bending and deformation of the shaft body, which are mostly caused by external impact, long-term unbalanced load or improper installation, resulting in increased vibration of the equipment and even interference of components;

Damage to oil seals, which are caused by aging, wear, uneven shaft surface and temperature and pressure, etc., which will cause lubricating oil leakage, pollute the environment and affect the normal lubrication of the equipment, and then cause failures of other components.
