Working Principle

The working principle of an automatic GPS grader is to use GPS and automatic control technology to accurately control the position and action of the grader's scraper, achieving high-precision leveling of the land.
GPS positioning: By receiving multiple GPS signals, accurately determine the three-dimensional coordinates (longitude, latitude, and altitude) of the grader. At the same time, the reference station will send precise location information to the GPS receiver on the grader to form differential positioning, further improving the positioning accuracy to several centimeters. In this way, the grader can know its accurate position and elevation information in the work area in real time.
Laser or other elevation measurement systems: In order to obtain more accurate ground elevation information, some automatic GPS graders are also equipped with laser receivers or other elevation measurement devices. The laser emitter will emit a horizontal laser beam above the work area, and the laser receiver on the grader will receive the laser signal in real time. By measuring the relative height between the laser beam and the grader, it can accurately perceive the fluctuations of the ground.
Control system: The control system is the "brain" of the automatic GPS grader, which integrates and processes the data obtained from the GPS positioning system and elevation measurement system. The control system will calculate the position and action of the scraper blade of the grader based on preset leveling targets, such as ground slope, flatness, and other parameters. Then, through an electronic hydraulic system or other driving devices, the precise control of the lifting, tilting, and lateral movement of the scraper enables it to perform leveling operations on the ground according to a predetermined trajectory.
Feedback and adjustment mechanism: During the operation of the automatic GPS grader, the grader continuously monitors its own position and the working status of the scraper in real time, and feeds back this information to the control system. The control system will compare the actual measured value with the preset target value. If any deviation is found, it will immediately issue an adjustment command to fine tune the action of the scraper to ensure the accuracy and quality of the leveling operation. Through this closed-loop feedback control mechanism, the automatic GPS grader can maintain high-precision leveling effects throughout the entire operation process, even in complex terrain and operating conditions, achieving efficient and accurate land leveling operations.
